505 Games & Remedy confirms Control 2 release

An official announcement has been made about Control 2.

Control 2, a follow-up to the 2019 game Control, is being co-developed and published by 505 Games, according to a recent announcement from Remedy Games.

One of the best video games in recent years, Control has steadily grown a devoted following. Control’s sequel is highly anticipated because fans are eager to find out what kind of physics-defying adventure Remedy has in store for them when it finally launches.

“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Remedy and continue the success story of Control together.”

Rami and Raffi Galante, co-CEOs of 505 Games, stated:

“Over three million copies of Control have been sold since it was released in 2019. Since this is 505 Games’ largest investment ever, it holds a special place in our hearts.”

they added.

Control has received over 20 “Game of the Year” awards, including IGN’s 2019 Game of the Year, and was nominated for 11 BAFTA Games Awards.

Control 2, which was previously known as Codename Heron, will be based on Remedy’s own Northlight engine and is still in the concept stage. The PC version will be released by Remedy, while the console version will be released by 505 Games.

Control is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a cloud streaming version on Nintendo Switch.
