Dubai is ready to set gamers battle ready as they are hosting the first-ever Esport Summit starting from November 9 to 20. This year’s Dubai Esport Festival 2022 (DEF for short) will be the most exciting eSports and gaming event in the Middle East, reflecting Dubai’s position as a global hub of innovation.
As part of the upcoming Dubai eSports Festival, this timely B2B event will feature the regional gaming ecosystem as a hub for global talent and the latest trends shaping the eSports industry. Over 200 high-level attendees and more than 50 prominent speakers will be present at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, including Maxime Durand, Rocco Scandizzo, Matthew Pickering, Sam Mathews, and John Lacey.

Global Championship of PUBG
The PUBG Global Championship (PGC), which runs from November 1 through November 20, will match 32 teams from four different areas against one another for a chance to win a share of over $2 million and the coveted PGC Champions title. From November 17 through November 20, DEC’s North Hall’s doors to the Grand Finals stage will be open to the public, and the entire raucous competition will be
live streamed for fans worldwide on: twitch.tv/pubg_battlegrounds.
Initiate Summit
The Initiate Summit is an essential B2B platform taking place from 9 – 11 November 2022 with a two-day agenda of talks with over 40 industry leaders, high-level networking opportunities, and interesting deep-dive workshops on the third day. It is targeted at gaming industry professionals, developers, and creatives with the goal of improving the esports ecosystem in Dubai and the MENA region.
The showcase will provide more than 200 attendees with insights into the most recent esports trends throughout the world, highlight important investment prospects, and act as a hub for the local gaming community, international talent, and industry innovation.
