The Game Awards celebrate the best games and talent in the industry. Geoff Keighley hosts this year’s event at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok winning the highest number of awards. Although “God of War Ragnarok” led the nominations, “Elden Ring” earned the night’s highest honor for the game of the year along with best game direction, art direction, and role-playing game.
Game Awards 2022 honored the year’s top gaming titles with performances by Halsey, Hozier, Al Pacino, Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Josef Fares, Ken and Roberta Williams, Keegan-Michael Key, Jessica Henwick, and Aurora.
There were many surprises at this year’s ceremony, including first looks at “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” “Super Mario Bros. Movie,” “Street Fighter 6,” “Final Fantasy XVI,” “Dune Awakening,” “TEKKEN 8,” “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty” and more. Here are some of the main winners we’ve rounded up:
