With great excitement to the announcement trailer for the upcoming Elden Ring DLC called Shadow of the Erdtree. We are eagerly anticipating the release, having deeply enjoyed our first playthrough of Elden Ring earlier this year. It was our introduction to the Souls genre, and we managed to complete the game Upon watching the trailer, we are awestruck by the beautiful new locales that seem more vibrant compared to the decayed world of the main game. We speculate on sinister events transpiring in these areas based on the ominous narration and creatures shown. We are particularly impressed by the unique boss designs revealed, including a winged snake and gold-plated knight.
When the trailer ends, it is revealed the DLC will launch on June 21, 2024. We are thrilled to get an official release date, as it allows time to plan. After months of rumors, the confirmation satisfies our anticipation. With the date set, we are eager to revisit the lands between with new quests, weapons, and challenges to uncover. For those new to Elden Ring, we recommend trying it out even if Souls games seem intimidating.
